So, I was digging through a drawer of miscellaneous odds and ends. Old tools with no handle or handles with no tool.
I found this drilling hammer with no handle that I had bought from harbor freight a long time ago.
I made the handle from ash and I say it's pretty good, decent length.
The hammer is going to be used for stone work. Chiseling, drilling, chipping, wedging, etc
It'll be good to have an actual dedicated hammer for that.
Fun fact, this was my first ever hammer I had gotten for forging and I realized it sucks as a forging hammer because it is not at all shaped for that.

Nah, this one is made brand new(if you're talking about the handle.) The head was brand new at the store when it had its old handle. I used it for a while, thought the handle was too short, cut that off, put on a new one from the store and though to myself "Wow this hammer still sucks" so I cut the handle off again and just dumped it in the drawer of purgatory.
There's no deformation on any side, but I know what you mean. I've seen hammers that were used for ever and ever and still had their original handle, and the handle was worn where ever that person had their thumb.
