Chet suddenly remembered the discussion with the Powers that Be that was happening right now.
And thought that maybe, having another unexplained growth spurt would not help with reaching a positive outcome.
Scared, he began trying to make himself go back to normal.
It wasn't easy, since big was his natural state, and he preferred bigger to smaller.
But he actually managed it, and slowly but surely, went back to skyscraper-sized instead of towering over them.

After a few minutes to digest this revelation, he began wondering if he could actually shrink too.
He got curious, and thought that maybe the Powers that Be would consider it a mark of good will that could help for the discussion.
So the rooster focused on imagining himself smaller.
And he did begin shrinking.

The Boiseans were surprised at first to see their kaiju grow bigger again, then shrink to "barely" a few floors tall, but they didn't stay surprised long.
After all, they saw him outgrow the planet and more, it would take more to surprise them.
They began waving and chatting to Chet, who waved back with a smile.
While he still preferred being big, this experiment reminded him of the advantages of being small.
And he stayed at this "small giant" size, waiting that the news reached the three sides of the discussion and hoping they would tip the scale in a good favor...
