Name: Detective Dorian Lector Sparrow
Story: Choke Sermon
Age: 38 (approximately the same as a human)
Gender/sex: Male
Species: Markani (Anthropomorphic alien race)
Height: 6' 0" (183 cm)
Weight: 131 lbs. (59.4 kg)
Abilities/skills/strengths:
-Silent footsteps
-Night vision
-Telepathy resistance (see Other)
Weaknesses:
-Slow
-Physically weak
-Fragile bone structure
Personality Strengths: Dorian is patient and slow to anger; to see him truly angry, one would essentially have to do it intentionally. He is also modest and well-mannered.
Personality Weaknesses: Because of his metal health, Dorian is subject to mood swings and bouts of paranoia. In addition, he is quite pessimistic. He is seemingly constantly nervous.
History: Dorian comes from an alternate version of the world of Maelstronia, where "Otherones" such as immortals, psychics, shapeshifters, and vampires live among normal citizens. He doesn't like talking about his past, even to those whom he loves and cares for. What he will tell you is that he was born with a condition resembling paranoid schizophrenia and lived almost his entire life medicated. The incident that caused his facial scar inspired him to become a police officer for the Darin City Other Investigations Unit. He now lives in Darin City with his wife Jessica and their daughter Amber.

-He has a mental illness similar to paranoid schizophrenia and is currently on three medications to help him with his condition. Without them, he can have radical mood swings and tends to hallucinate. His hallucinations are auditory and two separate voices.
-Dorian carries a personalized ball-point pen on him at all times, even when off-duty. He will frequently click the button on the end and twirl it in his fingers when he's under stress.
-He has a "half Glasgow Smile" on the left side of his face, and keeps the origin of it a close secret.
-He is a caffeine addict and is rarely seen without coffee, soda, or heavily sweetened tea.
-Dorian is known to harbor a prejudice against "Otherones" especially shapeshifters and psychics.
-People with mental illnesses in this version of Maelstronia (like Dorian) are more insulated against mind-reading and other mental attacks, as it makes it harder for a telepath to "get a read on them." I.E., an attempted mind-reader would have difficulties because of his unique psyche. Someone attempting to do so still offends Dorian greatly.
