Unforseen Pixel Style Challenge: Beta Fluttery Karts
There were some betas found of Super Mario Kart that apparently showed an alternate style of squishing, but only using a grey placeholder of sorts. Which probably means some random internet guys character finally used this thirty year old asset

before nintendo artists even applied it to their own characters hoooooooraaaaw!
I wasn't sure it would, but it seems to actually work very well with the flying up bit. I also wonder if this would have worked with alternate angles since the final game never lets you see the flat characters from the front (either rearview or on 2nd Players perspective.)
