Bored so wanted to do a series of pics based off of me and
Justathereptile favmonsters, represented by minijeff and minijusta wearing costumes of them.
Glavenus is definitely my #1 it's everything I ever wanted in a monster. Red, reptillian (of the dino variety) breathing fire, and a giant friggen' SWORD for a tail. Of all the monsters I've face, Glavenus is one I've been the most familar with. To the point where one could be forgiven for feeling I'm a tad obsessed. Lol
As for
Justathereptile I'm gonna be parahphrasing:
"He's a water based creature, with a cobra like design for his neck. A fine combo for sure. He has an awesome shade of blue, and overall combined into an awesome design. I don't play Monster Hunter unfortunately, but I still like the monsters in it, Lagiacrus being the most obvious."
Also this probably the most detailed I've ever done anything with the leezords and I quite like it ^3^

glad you can accept that thou for awesome side of things as neat as Glavenus and Lagiacrus can be I still feel that Valstrax is more awesome to me thou Lagiacrus is second with Glavenus as third but that's only cause Lagiacrus was the one who was the first really big monster I saw as my first monster hunter game was Tri and Lagiacrus was the flagship monster.
Didn't see Glavenus till I played generations when I was a lot older.

Generations was my first MH game. I was reluctant for the longest time to trying the series, sense normally I MUCH prefer to play as the monster and not be the slayer of said monsters. Not enough games really do this nowadays, but I am digressing. Though listening in on the games lore, I guess in some odd way you're a super powered park ranger. even just a slight backstory: The characters I have set up live for two things: fighting the monsters and studying them the main gial is capping them for study, with only slaying elder dragons because: just following the games logic-you can't let a walking cataclysm just wonder around. Though I'm certain there's far deeper layers than this.
I swear though, whoever designed Glavenus MUST'VE read my mind because he is just about everything I've ever wanted in a monster: Red, breathes fire, big friggen sword (axes are also acceptable) for a tail, and resembles a theropod dinosaur. There's just TOO much for me to love about it, it hits EVERY thing I like rolled into one package (save for not being able to play as it, so weilding armor and sword attacks have to do. I'm so dedicated to how much I love it, I wear the armor set, even when it's an AWFUL IDEA to do so. lol but I have ways of counteracting the weaknesses.
Frankly I just really love brute wyverns in general. World funnily introduce ALOT of monsters where I just look at it, and go: "Hey that thing looks like Justa. " lol and generally in look, function, or both.
By following that sense of logic it's alot easier for me to actually slip into the game. Though for the same reason I mentioned above, It's a little difficult to convince my brother to play it, but that'll be in due time perhaps. lol. He is into the game as a lore stand point and does like the monster designs, he just doesn't wanna be the guy who kills monsters, unless he is one. lol.
Personally I'd LOVE a Monster Hunter fighting game where we are the monsters as a choice, not really riding them,or fighting them, but that's likely just a dream that may not happen lol.

Well funny enough Monster Hunter has a few spin off games thou the second one of a spin off is comming out next month called Monster Hunter Stories 2.
The Stories Spin off is basically Monster Hunter but with Pokemon elements added in. I know in the first one Glacenus was one of the monsters you can hatch from an egg and have as a friend. I think they may bring him back for the sequal, but who knows.
Also you are correct the lore behind the hunters is similar to park rangers but more protecting a local village and saying many of the elder dragons can easily cause mass chaos and are a lot harder to keep contained they are sadly to be killed. Thou with some monsters it's not really anyone's fault persay with a prime example being Mizutsune.
See Mizutsune are gentle monsters and are more welcoming and kind hearted, however when mating season starts up the males become hyper aggressive as they will fight all to impress a mate so every single Mizusune you fight in the games are actually males that you are for a lack of better words Blue Ballin.

Yeah pretty much, if it's good in the monster ecosystem, good for the village. Lol
I know, I did try to get into Stories once. I just didn't really like the battle system being more of a guessing game, like it feels like you can't gaurantee to wipe the floor with the opposing monsters, some may be know to be a certain type: Power, Speed, Tech. But sometimes they don't do those things and you don't really have anyway of knowing. I know Pok'emon did this, but I had enough type advantage to know I can one shot the opposing Pok'emon with the right stats and such, not a smart guy in it, but still enough to enjoy
I would like to give this series another shot though, hopefully they made the fighting system a little better. And yeah you can indeed befreind them, but I mean literally you play as the monsters, IE: You press a button, the monster does something. Similar to the mounting mechanic in rise, which...for awhile at least I can PRETEND to be the beast I'm controlling, but something long term would be nice. Something to REALLY appeal to both the fantasy of being a savage monster, but also be a good enough game to appeal to my gamer side as well.
Heck I'd just love it if a game that'd be a spiritual successor to Primal Rage if not a remake. But also a good game. I won't lie I'm pretty finicky so, yeah. lol Man Eater was an awesome game for that, though I am more of a reptillian guy, and frankly would've liked more variety of creatures to play as. But it did keep me sated for awhile!
