Jelah are an original species of Cosmic Driftwood. They stand about 21 inches tall for males, 17 for females. They are related to the Midgard kangaroo, though the Jelah are native to Vanaheim (Redgrass/Anakee).
Despite technically being marsupials, they are also placental mammals. Basically, they have a similar womb configuration to kangaroos, but have the ability to grow their offspring to full development before giving birth.
However, it is quite rare for a pregnant Jelah to approach anywhere near this size naturally.
Due to this being older art, I have already forgotten the original cause of this Jelah lady's plight. Her mate is no doubt as puzzled as she is, though he's certainly enjoying this a heck of a lot more than she can.
I believe I once read that technically, kangaroos have three wombs, so maybe that's what's going on. She probably just had the (mis?)fortune of having twins or triplets implant in each. In any case, she feels she can't give birth soon enough. She would rather be able to actually move under her own power again, even if her mate is the type to want to enjoy every second of her expanded figure.
