The peoples of Phendria take great pride in their history. Even in the modern day swords and symbols carry great weight. The marks of great families revered, their children respected, and their land treated with care. For long ago the land was filled with nothing but chaos and death. Since the rise of the great nobles, internal stability, order, and peace have reigned. This does not stop the children of these bloodlines from seeking their own glory however. In foreign wars and conflicts in the corrupt underworld. Many of them seek to escape the shadow of their ancestry and forge their own glory. Some by sword or savagery, others by duty or corruption. Then there are some like Kestrel, who just want to relax, and fade into obscurity, living a life they choose.
