Yes, he looks like an SG1 character, and Stargate SG1 influenced the general story and characters of the scrapped game project.
There are human-made technologies on the planet (like firearms, combustion engines and electronics), but it's extremely rare. The human character was allowed to have his M16 and his pistol due to his employment and mission. For the gameplay, I was thinking that the player could use the rifle/pistol but ammo would be very scarce, so you'd save it up for bosses or something like that.
Like his voltron-inspired armor, he was gonna have a voltron-inspired weapon (like a fantasy plasma rifle and a sword), but I gave up on the project before I got to doing any of that stuff.
