I did this art trade with a friend of mine over on DeviantArt a few months ago, but it sort of slipped my mind to post it here. So here it is! This...beautiful creature is affectionately known as the "Torment Clown", and you can see her in her original splendor (as well as a lot more wonderful character designs over at EukayoticProkaryote's DA gallery: https://www.deviantart.com/eukayoticprokaryote
I feel like if this creature were to appear one night at my back door, I would think she is adorable with her bells and floppy hat. So I'd offer her some fresh blueberries. After that she would appear, night after night, announced by the jingling of the bells, and I would continue to feed her blueberries, much to her delight. She must be delighted, why else would she grin so broadly?
One night, inevitably, she would appear as usual, grinning ear to ear, in search of her nightly treat. I would go to my fridge and discover that, alas, there are no blueberries to be found! I turn to where she stands at the back door and spread my hands as if to say "sorry, little friend, no berries tonight"...
When they finally find my body, halfway across the country on a long-abandoned fairground, my death is blamed on the local coyote population.
...but maybe I'm overthinking things.
