Jack Frost is very unusual for his kind in that he has ice magic and can even control the weather to some extent, mostly when it comes to making it snow, hail, etc. He moved up north to the Arctic Ocean partly so he wouldn’t hurt anyone and also because he’s just more comfortable in the colder waters
Pitch Black is a rare and dangerous deep sea mer, who are known to be aggressive hunters and will even cannibalize other mer. He has magic of his own and can hypnotize prey to make them easier to catch
and they’re in love
