In the standard one, he's a donor, who happens to donate in a more direct manner. Child support does not apply in such arrangements.
This piece belongs to a canon in which Rigel has a harem. It's a canon that was actually brought on by the owner of the character that is the mother of these three. He also owns practically all of the other ladies in this harem. Let's just assume that if he has a harem, he also has a lot of money.
