Name: .....Devil of the Forest Swamps.
About: This equine devil haunted swampy forests for centuries all over the world, moving as he saw fit to terrorize small isolated human villages. He would cause the swamplands around the village to be consistently covered in a thick, dense mist that clung to everything that moves through it. With visibility limited, he would stalk his prey, increasingly driving them to paranoia and fear as they got more and more lost until they finally stumble into an area with no escape. He would then step out of the mist and stand there.
At first, the poor soul might mistake him for a feral horse but, they soon realize their mistake when the beast rushes at them and tears them limb from limb with his sharp teeth and hooves. Once his prey is consumed, he slips back into the mists to hunt again.
Rome's involvement:
The dragon who collects dangerous oddities heard about some creature terrorizing a village not far from his estate. He sent one of his 'collectors' to check it out. When they realized what was happening, they set forth to capture and contain the creature so it could be added to Rome's menagerie.
