The final photo of my McNally Strumulele is a closer look at the tail. You get a good look at the contrasting wood colors from spruce on top, padouk on the sides, and a glimpse of the maple back. The instrument came with a black plastic strap button, but I replaced that with the chrome one you see here and added a second matching button on the back. I suspect the use of fuzzy chenilled strings is meant to keep them from digging into the wood where they break over the edge of the body.
