Alex was nervous, today, after half a year, his owner Thomas would be able to work on the terrace again. A big day, since corona was still around.
'He will do fine.': Damian said, while fighting zombies with his headset on.
'You think we should go and look?'
'Why don't you contact him with the mirror?'
'Yeah, that's a good idea.'
Alex quickly took the small make-up mirror from his pocket and called Thomas. The young human male showed up, his hairs still wet from the shower.
'Good time to call. Anything wrong on your side?'
'No, I just want to know if you will do fine.'
'Yeah, I think we will. My best friend will visit around 3 in the afternoon. And I was lucky I could train so much. You know our lives are in since. So if something happend you will feel it.'
'Yeah, your right.'
'I will call you tonight, alright?'
Thomas smiled and placed his hand on the mirror. 'It will be fine. And I know that as long as I'm happy you will be to, that's why you are my sona....'
Update after work.
Just when Alex put down a plate of friend food, his cellphone rang.
'Fluffball speaking.': He said.
'With me.'
'Hey Thomas. Tell me, how was it?'
'Great, we decorated the whole place to celebrate the return of our costumers.'
'I though you did to go.'
'We did, but still we appreciate it all.'
'I see.' Alex put the cellphone between his ear and shoulder and started cutting lemons. 'So, what did you had to do?'
'Registration, noting names, amount of people and cellphone numbers. We had 50 spots in total. Were full for almost the whole day.'
'Sounds great, did you sell much?' Alex took the cap of the blender and put in celerie and tomato's.
'I don't know, I was put at the enterance, so I didn't see it that much. Lucky I bought my sunscreen.'
'I though you still had colder weather.'
'We do, but it was just to be sure.'
Alex put the bloody Mary in a glass and gave it to the fox guy on the other side of the bar.
'Nice, so when do you have to work again?'
'Friday.'
'Ah, kitchenday.'
'Yeah, first after we open. I'm quit nervous.'

So, today is the day Terraces in The Netherlands can reopen, something we all have lived to. And I'm happy for it.
