In my work, I am developing a series to help empower autistic people. I have a set of characters called the “Spectrum 6” (https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9863748/). The main message is that autism is not one’s limiting factor. With the right attitude, autistic people can often make friends as easily as neurotypicals. Social skills are not natural in the first place — it is a science and must be studied as such.
