Wow, this took longer than I thought it would. x_x Watercolor, gouache, metallic watercolor, and ink on Canson Mixed Media paper (You can't really see it? But all that dark green fabric in her dress? OMGSHINY! @_@). Inspired by

And once again...

“Put me down!” she demanded. “You horrible, barbaric man, let me go!” Her fists beat against his back, and the stench of his unwashed body was nauseating.
“Here she is, cap’in,” the pirate called out, still paying her no mind. He dropped her off his shoulder, catching her waist with his arm to ensure she came down on her feet. She cried out as she dropped, catching herself, and filled with indignation, brought back her hand to slap the brute. A strong hand locked around her arm and spun her around. She found herself staring at the rough leather tunic of a massive dark furred wolf. He towered over her, easily a full head taller, perhaps more. She looked up to meet his eyes and shuddered. Despite how angry she felt, she knew this was not someone she wanted to trifle with.
The wolf’s eyebrow raised as the corners of his mouth lifted in amusement. “So this is the prize,” he said, his voice a deep basso, rumbling like a thunderstorm. “Looks like we have a notable passenger.”
She drew herself up with all the dignity she could muster. “I am Lady Roxanna Lucia DiConti,” she informed him coldly. “And I will not stand for such treatment. Release me at once!” She could see the Dancer’s captain among the surviving crew gathered at the bow. The otter was on his knees with the others, a pleading, sick look in the older gentleman’s eyes. There would be no help for her from that quarter.
“And I am Matthew Karn, Captain of the free ship Executioner’s Blade,” the wolf replied, his muzzle slitting into a very toothy grin, “And whether you choose to stand, sit or lay down is of no difference to me. You’re now a hostage of my crew.”
