Spyro gave her a scathing look. He was at that point where he knew he was defeated, but still wanted to keep fighting. “Yeah, well, I'm still upset. It's not right.”
Bless her, Elora's heart broke a little just then. She was secretly happy that she wouldn't ever have to worry about being in danger from a main squeeze who might squeeze a little too hard, but when you're supposed to be 7 feet tall...

She pulled the short and stringy dragon into a hug. No more convincing, just understanding.

“No... It's not right, Spyro. If things were right, you'd look every bit the hero I know you are.”
He melted into her hug, softly wrapping both his arms and wings around her. Here she is, he thought: His other whole and the best half of a bigger whole- If he had the courage to change the things he could, she gave him the peace to accept the unchangeable and the wisdom to know the difference...

...And she could hide it, but he knew she really liked it when he did this with his wings. That little tail flicker told all as she nestled into his chest.


This is a little scene in Daaberlicious' Spyro Fanfic: Spyro and The Maniacal Machinations of Malefor The Mad. I'm a little bit biased because he's my twin brother, but I like it!
