Here's the finished candle holder. The black finish on it (which I will probably need to redo) is burnt on wax and oil.
The feet and spike for the candle are made from from scaffold nails and the sheet metal came from the metal paneling of an electrical pedestal box I found near a dumpster before some other scrap vulture could take it and sell it for pennies at a scrap yard.
The odd looking flower shaped socket isn't so much of a socket. It guess it could fit a wider candle if it were a home made one just for this candle holder.
