The 1:48 scale COBI B-17G is 20 inches long and just over 5 inches high with a wing span of 26 inches.
According to the COBI web site, “The B-17 dropped more bombs than any other U.S. aircraft in World War II. Of approximately 1.5 million tons of bombs dropped on Nazi Germany and its occupied territories by U.S. aircraft, over 640,000 tons were dropped from B-17s.”

The paint scheme for this model is based on the Nine-O-Nine, of the 323rd Bomb Squadron, 91st Bomb Group, that completed 140 combat missions during World War II. She flew from December 15, 1943 thru December 7, 1945 before being retired and eventually scrapped.
