Stella will come to find out that Milo has been running from different things for a while. He started off running away from home because he wanted more than the small group of shifters he grew up with, and he ended up at the pound.
He thought he was doing okay when he was picked up for police training, but he attacked his handler after being given an unjust order and ended up running again. In hindsight, he realized that he’d been “just following orders” for the past couple of years and had hurt people that didn’t deserve it. Guilt frequently weighs on him.
Javier is usually the one who picks him up when he’s struggling, but Stella will do in a pinch.
His (physical) scars include: 2 knife wounds by his neck, one old bullet wound by his hip, and one new bullet wound at his shoulder.

I’ll probably get into this at some point once I hash out the details, but their relationship started when he took a bullet for her; so, while she sets healthy boundaries about having dudes in the house, Stella is definitely willing to help. It just takes a while for him to open up and actually tell her what’s happening.
