Here is a quick and dirty joiner's mallet I've made so that I don't have to keep using a wooden club to strike the chisels I use.
The whole point of using a wooden mallet or club on chisels is due to most of them having wooden handles. If you'd use a metal tool head on the chisel handle, it'd just bust it faster.
The head is made of maple and the handle is made of tulip poplar, which I am very certain should not at all be used for handle woods. Screw it, I'm lazy and nearly out of ash or hickory.
