Some days I think it can be hard for some of us. A lot of us even. Seeing ourselves come so far, and still finding ourselves fighting the same old feelings, the same old battles.

I once said that when I was a kid, I had a lot of anxiety. Twenty years later, I still find myself facing down those feelings and thoughts some days.

Some of us. Most of us, we have the habit of looking at this as a sign of weakness. As if we haven't moved forward, or that time went on without us. This isn't true but sometimes we believe it is.

But this isn't about things like you and I being stuck in place. It's not about us facing a losing battle. No. I believe that you and me being here means that we've won more battles than we've lost. We're not weak for this..we are stronger than we know.

We are here. Knowing now that all the bad things, all the fears, all the doubts, all the worries and anxieties...all the ends we thought were to be...were instead met with new beginnings. Beautiful beginnings towards something new.

A bit of us is new too, because we've changed a bit. But if there is one thing that hasn't changed...it's the truth buried in both of our hearts. The little, soft whispers that say " I believe in you. " and I do believe in you. Thanks for being here.
