Yes, there definitely shouldn't be a purple haze along one side of that picture or blue speckles in the dark spots and it could be much sharper. Canon make some very nice snapshot cameras for quite reasonable prices, I had one before and I mean to get another when I can. (The Olympus I have now works, but it takes longer than I'd like to take the next picture.)

Yes. Cute as all get out. If I may, I'd like to warn you to keep your kitty inside through the month of October. My friend Carol worked at the City Animal Shelter for several years, and has told me that they flat out refuse to let folks adopt all black cats during Halloween time. There's just too many "Whackos" out there.
