I kind of am and kind of am not?? I grew up with it but man, can it be convoluted and downright silly. It's like one of those cartoons you watched as a kid that you love but also know is kind of not-good XD

Yeah, the lore is what it is, but the base concepts behind it are just amazing. Properly guided, and with the right people, it gets close to a communion-like kind of thing, haha

I think that's true of roleplaying in general. With the wrong people it's a drag, but with the right people it's an amazing experience. The thing I like about the World of Darkness is how detailed and crafted the lore is. It can get goofy, but the goofiness can be downplayed. A good gamemaster can make a lot out of it.
