This series features my new banjo-ukulele or, as it is sometimes called a banjolele. It is constructed like a small banjo, but strung and tuned like a concert sized ukulele.
I don’t often post photos of the back of an instrument’s headstock. But I’ll always make an exception for some lovely open geared tuners with distinctive etching. The shape of the headstock is a departure from the normal Kala design. This one is shaped more like that of a traditional banjo.

Very nice! I love those old-style open tuners with the pretty engraving on the mounting plates, and I especially like the soft effect of the antique brass finish against the simple black finish on the neck.
I agree that the headstock shape is much more like an old banjo...I thought "old Gretsch, Vega or Epiphone banjo from the 1920s" the first time I saw it.
Play and enjoy it, Good Sir...another fine addition! :)
