I finally got around to doing a digital drawing of a FIFTH character from my future comic project. I drew him in pencil ages ago, and if you go back to the beginning of my gallery you'll see him under a slightly different name, but I HIGHLY don't recommend it.
Haiku is a world explorer who eagerly accepted the challenges of the "final frontier" when the Earthfolk took to space. Though I originally wrote him as a hired guide and didn't plan for him to be in more than a single scene, he has since evolved into one of the most pivotal characters in the story. It's funny how these things work out...
His character and personality are greatly inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien's famous poem "Roads Go Ever On".
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with weary feet,
Until it joins some larger way,
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I hear you. I'll probably still play with his proportions a bit. Just wanted to start getting some characters roughed out at least. I'm actually doing a Udemy course on drawing animals. I'm sure it'll give me some idea about how to make these guys look a bit more like the animals they are based on. Thanks for the feedback!
