After S00T completed this drawing of Lucy for me, two things happened. First, I began thinking about what other characters from Long Division might make interesting pin-ups. And that line of thought led me to write a story (two actually - there is a postscript). I’ll post the story next week, but for now I hope you enjoy this drawing of Tracy.
This coyote is one of the main characters of my Long Division book series
Tracy and his twin brother, Terry, were born in the back seat of the Becker family station wagon. The coyotes moved about constantly, never staying in one location for more than a few weeks. Tracy eventually settled in Chicago where he found the love of his life, an older bear named Roy Carrara.
Tracy had a fun-loving personality that complemented Roy’s more reserved nature. Tracy always loved talking his bear into trying new things. The two enjoyed sharing their respective experiences over board games, during outings at a local park, or on one of the many road trips they shared during their lives together.
Tracy found employment at the local Salvation Army Shop. There he became close friends with coworker Lucy Williams, a German Shepherd whose father managed the store. Lucy was somebody about his own age that Tracy could relate to and confide in.
This terrific image of Tracy was drawn by
S00T who also contributed the cover of Long Division Book III and will be working on the covers for two more in the series.
Please fave the original HERE in S00T’s gallery and check out her other terrific art while you are there.
