Me recomend you to install e.g. "supercapacitor" instead. It's fully compatible with existing Ni-Cd charger circuit, has almost eternal charging cycles, doesn't leak and has sufficient capacity for old PC-equipment experimenting. Recommend you EECS5R5H105 part number from Panasonic for example.
