I disagree to your statement that this particular one-panel page doesn't do anything. The image definitely shows how serious Schwarzi is about his mission. And that he would even sacrifice everything he has done and everyone he has come to love. Which is so sad. ='(

thing is, i'm not too sure if all the other characters will be too happy when they will find out about his "reboot the world" plan, and since he seems so determinated to accomplish this plan no matter what, i can just imagine him making sure that no one interferes, thus ending up accidentally becoming a villain for the other characters if they decide to stop him ^^"
It's either that, or they will actually agree with him and together find a way to safely destroy the tree without any bad consequences, which i won't lie hope goes like that, i still want to see him as a cute giant ally ;w;

Of course tho, it's just a random theory about the future, i might be very wrong right now XD but in any case, i'mloving and i will keep love the story, can't wait to see how it goes
