Well, it's somewhat embarrassing uploading a Christmas-themed picture halfway through January, but as those of you who follow me know ( or at least, if you pay any attention ), I came down with pneumonia during Christmas while I was working on coloring this. My fever was so high that every time I attempted to try and keep working on this, staring at the monitor for more than 5 minutes at a time made me incredibly dizzy. So unfortunately, this picture ended up having to be put on hold while I lounged about in bed for about 2 weeks.

In a way I'm kinda glad this didn't get finished in time, coz I probably would have rushed it, then. I didn't pick an easy lighting scheme ( at least, it wasn't easy for me ) which was backlighting, and I swear, I am in no mood to draw/paint another Christmas tree any time again soon. I did several different version of the tree at first, including a Douglas fir version, where I actually sat there and painstakingly drew out ever friggin' pine needle like some kind of psycho. Don't believe me? I have the progress pics to prove it XD After staring at myself in the mirror for a long time and questioning my sanity, I decided to just take a nice chalk brush and try to Bob Ross a tree in there, and then play around with it as needed. Too get the more scrubby look of a pine tree texture, I took some photos of my own Christmas Tree before it was taken down and overlaid it with my paint-work and colors.

Some of my personal favorite things are the poinsettia in Charley's hair, and Vinnie's sweater and his overall profile.

This was a long work in progress, and many huge, huge thanks to both and suicidecommando-rp, who rode it out with me and gave me tons of feedback and looked over dozens of alterations until their eyes watered.
