Ok, sorry, I know it's not smutty, and I know it's not funny... Your normal humorous light erotica will resume shortly, but I'd just like to ask those that did bother to click the thumbnail to spare a thought that for the 1%.
1% matters. 1% to you can make a difference of 50% to someone else. That is what NATO and the developed world aspire to. It's not a perfect system, mistakes are made, things happen that shouldn't, but the aim is always for the preservation of freedom and of life. It is not perfect, but it is the aim.
But it is not something that happens for free. There are costs.
1% is indeed often worth it numerically and logistically, but please, never discount it. Never think of 1% as insignificant. Never think of it as acceptable. Never think of it as something that never happens. 1% does happen, and if you know of a family who has been affected by it, please offer them your support, because those people had the guts to do what you and I did not: they risked the 1% chance for an ideal.

In other news, I need at least one more male character for the Campus Life collection (alongside June, Jack, Petya, Sapphira, Julie, Xiao, Lia, etc), and Terry's going to need a social circle. Anyone want to cast a vote for him being the new guy?

yes, he would make a good addition, there is always room for a vet.
There's a theory that reducing the world population to 10% current and having a relaxed free-love society might do the job ;)
You have my sympathies. The situation is a mess, but it looks like it would be irresponsible to simply back out immediately as it would collapse the local state and leave anarchy. I do however have a lot of respect for people who have the courage to do what most of us don't and put their asses out there to be shot at so that ours won't be.
and i guess I'm not very good at speeches.
