Most of the citizens of Ferrenvale were strong enough to contribute their magical energy into keeping their city suspended in the sky. Some had excess power to work with, which could be used for healing or to generate pseudo-electricity. Few had enough in excess to create objects made of pure energy, and even fewer could create beings of the same form. Valkiro's mother was one of these few, this locket holding what was left of her power before she died.
