I did some reading on Harajuku fashion styles for fun and was interested in trying to draw some coords within different styles. Kioku normally wears more traditional things but thought it'd be a neat change/intersesting experiment and could be fun to design. I started out with the Sweet Lolita style.
This was my third attempt after 2 sets of feedback from people who are really into the fashion. As said last time you can see my utter inability to consider proportion as each attempt Kio gets more chibi >_< They definitely liked this the best but questioned my goal in making these drawings and still definitely felt my ideas vastely overstepped my artistic ability. I suppose further outfit designs maybe should be done on top of Kioku's ref sheet model for this reason. If nothing else it'd make getting the idea across clearly. As mentioned though part of the issue here does stem from the fact that Sillhoette is the most important feature of any lolita fashion so my inability to deal with anatomy at all kind of made this impossible. I like the concept though and I think they found the overall design nicer and more cohesive.
