A quick picture that I drew at Papageno, featuring a Pocket Monster. Remember that time in Gold and Silver, when GameFreak created an event that took place in Ilex Forest? If you're a longtime Pokéfan, then you'll already know that the event in question was the famous Spiky-Eared Pichu that appeared whenever you would bring your OWN Pichu to a small shrine sitting in a clearing somewhere in the forest. You have to have a Pokémon that knows the HM CUT, since there's a small tree blocking your way. But once you remove that tree, you gain access to the open spot and trigger the event at the shrine. A somewhat different colored Pichu will appear, run around for a bit, stop, then run away. It's your job to go after it and catch it.

Now here's my made up story, as usual. It doesn't have anything to do with the Spiky-Eared Pichu event, but I think it is a recipe for a great story nonetheless.

''Pichu woke up in a brightly lit room full of soft toys. He blinked. How in the name of Pecha Berries did he end up here? He was with his Trainer in Ilex Forest just ten minutes ago. Did his Trainer bring him here and leave him behind, without saying anything? In the distance, Pichu could hear the laughter and babbling of other Pokémon. A Sentret and a Hoothoot were playing with blocks, and a little Houndour sat motionless in a lonely corner, silently staring at the wall. What was wrong with him? Pichu attempted to get up, and felt that he was wearing a soft diaper. ''Wh-...Where am I?'', he finally spoke in a light voice. Sentret heard Pichu speak, and he put down the colorful blocks he had in his paw. ''Hey, you're finally awake,'' he said. He sounded friendly. ''Welcome to the daycare! Some humans are looking after us right now, while our Trainers are busy getting their other Pokémon ready for a Gym challenge. My Trainer, for example, went exploring the Ruins of Alph together with his Meganium, and they were also said to visit Whitney in Goldenrod City later on. He put me here in the meantime'' ''An'... yuh... yoo ...t-totally fine wif dat?'' Pichu responded. Sentret nodded: ''Oh, don't worry. It won't be long before they come pick us up -- or at least, I hope it won't. Why don't you join us and play with us?'' He handed Pichu the two little blocks he was still holding. ''U-Uhm... okay,'' Pichu whispered, then asked: ''whuh... wha's wif him over there?'' ''Houndour?'' replied Hoothoot, now hopping towards Pichu in order to say hello, ''oh, don't you worry about him; he's a little grumpy because he's still waiting for his meal. We'll get some food soon, by the way! Stay with us! The food they serve here is absolutely delicious!'' Pichu was silent. He couldn't believe his Trainer left him here, after going through the trouble of navigating Ilex Forest just because he wanted Pichu to meet up with his Spiky-Eared congener. He decided to give it a try. He wobbled over to the other side of the colorful room, and tried to make eye contact with the small, black dog. Houndour got up, turned himself around and looked Pichu right into his eyes. ''What're you looking at?'' he finally spoke, ''...oh, wait. So you're the new one then, aren't you? Hm. Well, nice to meet you'' They heard Sentret's voice coming from around the corner: ''Hey, 'Dour! Are you coming? They have a buffet of chicken and vegetables lying on the table, waiting to be-'' ''Yeah, yeah, I'm comin','' replied Houndour, ''just meetin' up with the new one, alright!'' ''Okay, but don't wait for too long, eh?'' Houndour grimaced. ''Just like my mother when she puts me to bed,'' he mumbled, ''I'm not a baby anymore! But everyone keeps treating me like one! I'm sick of it'' Pichu looked down on Houndour's waist, and saw that he too was wearing a comfy diaper. ''But yah... wearing a diaper,'' Pichu said. ''Yeah, so?'' was Houndour's answer, ''I'm only wearing one because they want me to. And you're wearing one yourself, but I don't have any problems with that!'' With those words, he walked away. ''H-Hey...!'' Pichu shouted, ''c-can I come wif yoo? I'm actually quite hung'wy!'' ''That's fine, come along with me,'' Houndour replied, sticking his head around the corner. And so Pichu wobbled after him to the dining room.''
