Incense is a substance that is burned at low temperature (often in a container called a censer) to produce a fragrant smoke.

In the Pokemon games, Incenses are items that Pokemon can hold to produce different effects. They're also used to produce specific baby Pokemon when breeding. A Full Incense is used to make a Snorlax produce a Munchlax egg - while in battle, it "makes the holder feel bloated and full," forcing them to move more slowly.
