How fortunate that you got your wallet back that day. So how long does it take you to go through ten pounds of coffee?
Caffeine, or the energy drinks and coffee that contain them, have a tendency to cause acid reflux if overdone, and seem also to be the cause of this metallic taste I have in my mouth all the time. Even so, I loves my coffee, so even though I shouldn't drinks it, I still drinks it.

The fluids help with stones, I don't know about coffee per se. But coffee helped me drink sufficient fluids.
Coffee does seem to be an aid against all sorts of things -- like memory loss. But the effects aren't indisputable, and here are other reasons given to not drink coffee. On the whole, it seems that the medical establishment has moved from a negative opinion, to a mildly positive one on coffee. Glee!

On the West Coast in the US, Dunkin' Donuts and Tim Hortons are non-existent.
Krispy Kreme is the big donut chain primarily...Winchells used to have a large Western US presence but are now primarily based in Southern California.
Go easy on the donuts...the fat and sugar content might negate the benefits of the ocffee you need.
One can't stop at just one TimBit, though.

Tim Hortons was never big in the US. It only penetrated some parts of the country and has a limited market share. It originated in Ontario, though, and has the biggest market share in Canada -- beating even Starbucks, something like 60% to 7%. Tim Horton himself was a hockey player, for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was one of the original investors, but died in a car crash a few years later. The franchise just grew and grew, though, since it actually did offer better coffee and more pleasant surroundings.
I rarely eat donuts. Like em' but they add up -- money wise as well as calories.

Wendy's owns the Tim Hortons chain which helps in the expansion. About 500 stores in the Eastern US to go with the Canadian domination.
Dunkin Donuts are owned by the same group that owns Baskin Robbins ice cream and Togo's Sandwich joints. The eateries share the same building location in some areas. Dry Dunkin Donuts coffee are sold in stores in the Western US but no locations serving any freshly made stuff.

There was a recent book titled "Glazed America" about the history of donut shops in North America...and its recent boost with the coffee/Starbucks rivalry phenomenon. Nice reading. One donut is all I can handle.
I'm not a coffee drinker...one or two sips and I am up all night. One can of Coca Cola or Pepsi for one day is about all I can handle although the carbonation has gotten tough to tolerate in recent periods. I prefer the 100 calorie 8 oz cans for limited doses. Always drink lots of water to stay hydrated to combat those kidney stones.
