The Barley Lightfood to Cruise's Ian. The Mario to his Luigi. The Elsa to his Anna. The Edward to his Alphonse. He and Cruise have a "Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy" relationship, respectively.
He looks blue, but actually he's supposed to be a sort of pearlescent black/dark indigo. Especially his hair which is supposed to have a blue shine to it. I got the colour scheme from my old New Town High School colours, dark blue and yellow, and I think black as well. So he's got yellow spots, like an inverted tiger. And yellow claws too :3
I've been thinking lately that my character design for Cruise has been so lazy. This time, I'm going to put in much more of an effort to do something different. Really experiment with colours and things. I just didn't want him to be one fur colour, the same hair colour and that's it. So I'm going to try different things, and maybe even come up with more designs someday.
Maybe I'm onto something. I could create an open species like Dainties, or at least make adoptable Snow Dragons.

In Snow Dragon tongue, his name means "Gentleman of the Black Stone.''
