Probably a weird place to put this, but here goes:
In anticipation of the Frontier mod for Fallout: New Vegas, I modified Tarrant's Baby Deathclaw Commander mod so that the deathclaw follower featured in the mod gets bigger/more muscular once it reaches its adult stage. The model is kinda wonky and the code is a mess, but it seems to work alright.
Unfortunately for me, it seems I won't be playing the Frontier mod anytime soon, but it was fun playing through the main game with a deathclaw in tow, regardless.
Some notes if you decide to use the mod yourself:
-The deathclaw can initially be found in Quarry Junction: look inside the deathclaw mother's nest for a "viable deathclaw egg" and pick it up. After an in-game day or so you'll get a notification that the egg is about to hatch: drop it onto the ground and you'll have yourself a baby deathclaw.
-The deathclaw will eat most vanilla meat items, and can be fed every hour or so. Feeding the deathclaw is the only way to make it grow, so be sure to stock up on meat.
-Once the deathclaw reaches the adult stage, it will begin to grow stronger based on how much meat it eats and how often it uses its power attack. You'll need to get into plenty of fights and feed it lots of meat to get it to max strength.
-Since the larger sizes are probably too big for some people's liking (and because the deathclaw's model gets somewhat distorted), I've added the option to stop the deathclaw from getting stronger. If at any point you want the deathclaw to remain at its current size, speak to it and pick the "Let's talk about your training." option.
-The mod isn't set up to work with DLC or any other mods, and could break certain sequences, most notably cutscenes. I would recommend having the deathclaw wait somewhere if you stray from the vanilla content.
Although I think I've tested the mod pretty thoroughly, there are undoubtedly a few major bugs I haven't caught yet. If you have trouble with the mod or have any questions about it, feel free to ask.
Credit for the original Baby Deathclaw Commander mod goes to Tarrant.
