My first ever YCH, done in raffle form. sohaibkhr on Instagram won it and gave me this wonderful character to draw.
I have to say, I was a little out of sorts drawing a character after the background was done. It just felt sort of wrong, but once I started painting it all just came together. I also like how the character's color palette was a lot lighter than the background I drew which really gave me some nice contrasts to work with. Also, I could use the opportunity to lighten up my painting a bit because sometimes I draw too dark.
I'll be doing more of these in the future, but they'll be auctioned spots.
