The first painting for 2021 and featuring our favorite clever squirrel .

After seeing Zee-Zee all padded up for New Year's Eve, this gave me an idea for Marshall daring Zee-Zee to wear diapers for 24 hours. And to make sure that Zee-Zee goes along with the 24 Hour Challenge, Marshall would wear a Pull-Up for 24 hours as well.

It was the day after New Year's and 2021 has now arrived. And after waking up and having some breakfast, Marshall went outside to see if any of his friends wants to come out and play. And at the first stop, Marshall went over to Zee-Zee's place to wish him and his family a happy New Year.

Marshall walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell in which Zee-Zee's mommy, Zena answered it.

Zena: "Why hello Marshall! Are you stopping by to wish us a Happy New Year?"

Marshall: "Yes I'm am. Happy New Year! Is Zee-Zee around?"

Zena: "He's upstairs getting dressed up. He stayed up around midnight to see the New Year arrive and he woke up late."

Marshall: "Okay. I'll go up there and say hello."

Zena: "Oh by the way, during last night's party, Zee-Zee had an little accident earlier this morning. So don't be surprised for what you see when you enter his room."

Marshall: "Um... okay." Marshall said looking puzzled as he walked up the stairway that led to Zee-Zee's bedroom.

As Marshall approached the door to Zee-Zee's room, Marshall knocked on the door to see if Zee-Zee's in.

Zee-Zee: "Who's there?"

Marshall: "It's me, Marshall!"

Zee-Zee: "Meep!! Um... sorry Marshall. Can't play with you today. I... um... got big clever squirrel things to do today. Too busy. Please go away now!"

Just then, Zena came towards the door and knocked on it.

Zena: "Zee-Zee, Marshall's here to visit you. So please come out and welcome him."

Zee-Zee: "Awww, but mommy, Marshy's gonna find out I'm not a clever squirrel..."

Zena: "Zee-Zee, open up this door right now!"

There was silence for a brief moment. Then with a sigh, Zee-Zee opened the door. And when Marshall saw Zee-Zee, he couldn't believe his eyes. Zee-Zee was wearing nothing but a thick diaper around his waist and a sad frown on Zee-Zee's face.

Marshall: "Oh my gosh... is that a DIAPER Zee-Zee's wearing???"

Zena: "Yes it is. Zee-Zee had too much soda pop last night and I warned him if he ever wets his bed, he'll be wearing diapers the next day. Well early this morning, while I was checking on him while he was asleep, he had an accident like I said he would."

Zee-Zee: "But mommy, I didn't drink too much last night! I only had about three or four cans of soda..."

Zena: "That's still too much! And since you didn't keep you bed dry all night, you'll be wearing diapers all day. Now be a nice, clever squirrel and allow Marshall into your room for a playdate."

Marshall then entered Zee-Zee's room, giggling at the clever squirrel's padded situation. He never thought that he would see Zee-Zee in a diaper, but there he was, all padded up and he's not a bit happy about it either.

Marshall: "Wow, so you decided to give up the potty once and for all and stay in diapers forever?"

Zee-Zee: *pouting* "No! I'm a big clever squirrel! I don't need diapers!! This is just a fluke because I had a few sodas on New Years! It's not fair!! I don't want to wear diapers all day!!"

Marshall: *gently giving Zee-Zee a hug* "Calm down Zee-Zee. Wearing diapers are fun! In fact, I'm challenging you to a 24 hour challenge. And I dare you to wear diapers for one day."

Zee-Zee: "But I don't need diapers! I'm a big squirrel!"

Marshall: "Okay, how about this. If you can wear diapers for one day, I'll wear Pull-Up's for one day just to make it fair."

Upon hearing that, Zee-Zee perked right up.

Zee-Zee: "Ooooo! I'll accept that challenge!" He then went to his dresser drawer and pull out some of his Pull-Ups. "And you can start wearing them right now! And since this is a new year, this is the time that you started using the potty! Once this day's over, you'll never need diapers anymore!"

"We'll see about that!" yapped Marshall as he took off his diaper (he needed a change anyway) and put on one of Zee-Zee's Pull-Ups. Afterwards, Marshall and Zee-Zee had their playdate. It was rather a strange playdate for the two since they are wearing the opposite undergarments that they're used to wearing.

When Zee-Zee needed a change, Zena would have him lie on the floor and change into a fresh diaper. Zee-Zee was rather embarrassed being changed like a baby, but as the thick diaper was taped around his waist, the diaper felt nice and soft as Zee-Zee smiled weakly while gently patting the front panel of his diaper. "Maybe this isn't too bad." Zee-Zee thought to himself.

Marshall on the other hand, still kept forgetting that he was wearing a trainer and not a diaper. And after a few accidents, Zee-Zee allowed Marshall to use his potty. When Marshall felt another accident coming, he raced to Zee-Zee's potty, sat down and let 'er rip. (Of course Marshall didn't bother to pull down his trainers and did his business in his trainers as he did with his diapers. But at least he DID use the potty!)

Several hours later, Marshall was ready to go home. Just before he left, Marshall and Zee-Zee had a few final words to each other.

Zee-Zee: "This has been a fun playdate! And I didn't want to admit this.... but I guess diapers aren't all bad!"

Marshall: "See Zee-Zee? Diapers are fun to wear. At least you gave diaper a try, as I gave trainers and the potty a try. But I too admit that I need more practice!"

Zee-Zee: "Ah-ha! I told you that using the potty's fun! So are you going to keep your promise and wear the Pull-Ups for the rest of the day?"

Marshall: "I sure am! Just as long you wear diapers for the rest of the day too!"

Marshall and Zee-Zee shook paws and Marshall was on his way back home. And for the rest of the day, Marshall kept his promise by wearing trainers at home while Zee-Zee continued to wear diapers (and to make sure Zee-Zee or Marshall don't break their promises, both Zena and Laura kept an sharp eye on the two cubs).

But by the next morning, things went back to normal for the two cubs as Marshall went back to a diaper loving fox and Zee-Zee went back to a big clever potty trained squirrel. But during those 24 hours, both cubs got their wish. Zee-Zee got Marshall to use the potty, and Marshall got Zee-Zee to wear diapers. And even though this was a once-in-a-lifetime thing, there's a photo taken by Zena as proof that this event really did happen.
