This is the foam base I made today to replace my first Sammael head. I wasn't really happy with how the first one turned out, it was too big and not very detailed or intimidating like the character.
So, since I had the materials lying around I thought I'd redo his head. I made this all today, about 5 hours of work, with breaks and everything. It is no where near done, I have to smooth out the foam work and the ears are only pinned there, not fully attached. But overall I think this was a good days work.
The characters a Hellhound if anyone was wondering, I have no reference pictures though. I'm kind of making him up as I go along =P

It was an old baseball came that said Camp Rendez-vousz, which was the name of the hunting camp my dad goes to every year. He has a ton of these hats so he let me use one =P
I was thinking that too, in person it's not quite so bad, I think the angle of the picture exaggerates it a bit. But he is going to have two long demon horns coming from where those X's are (roughly xD ) So maybe that'll help a little.
