Just a little tribute to FurAffinity wonderful way of dealing with some recent events → https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9737683 ...
Because we all know that Authority and Homily are far more efficient (and relevant) than Education and Reflection !
Why should we listen to the people who are supporting Capitol invasion and trying to understand their motivation ?
Understanding is accepting ! "Ignoring" (or "regulating") speech is the only acceptable way to deal with any issues.
FurAffinity has assimilated this perfectly.
So lets just communicate on positive messages and share acceptable statements...
PS: Since the beginning of this century, we are witnessing more and more challenging of democratic ideals, mostly through elected populist leaders, as if Callicles monologue has actually become a kind of prophetic revelation. Trying to deal with this gruesome issue using CENSORSHIP and sermons -in stead of analyzing carefully the argumentation and, of course, the motivations of the Capitol invasion supporters- is just... hopelessly vain.
PPS: A virtual cookie for the first one who find the references on my political cartoon. ;-p

Are you high? A police officer had his skull fractured with a fire extinguisher, and a woman was shot to keep her from entering the House of Representatives while congress members were present. There are literally hundreds of videos showing how viciously the rioters fought with law enforcement - all in the name of the so-called "law and order" president.
The "mostly peaceful protests"during the last couple of monts left quite a few people death, several police officers and counter protestors shot dead by rioters, oh, wait, those are just protestors and whole blocks burned to the ground. The double standard here is unbearable.
And do you REALLY think there is a chance, any chance to turn FA into a white supremacist chespool? Really? So, who actually IS high?
LongTom is absolutely correct in his statement.

I never said the summer riots were not violent or tried to justify them, you simply assume that blindly. But there was nothing remotely "right" about the original comment just because the riots this summer were also bad. The videos speak for themselves. Those weren't holograms or Antifa plants building a gallows, bashing cops with flagpoles, or chanting about cutting off the vice president's head. The five people who died aren't "fake news." And if you sympathize with domestic terrorism - on either end of the political spectrum - then you ARE a piece of shit.
4 of the 5 death are protesters. Same number as Kent University, coincidence?
Also no, I do not sympathize with domestic terrorism at all. Now you are assuming blindly. And don't dare to call me a POS.
But I am miffled by the double standard the Media and Politicans are using. I remember all so well when they praised the suggestion of storming the white house.
How is that not a double standard?

The media has not gotten a single story wrong yet. Everything the media has said since the founding of America has been the complete and honest truth. It is also worth mentioning that the media has not committed even 1 single crime, because they would tell us they did so immediately and humbly. They are some of the most humble and honest people on the planet, the media and talking heads. That is why we trust the media. They are the best corporations to ever exist, and their CEOs and Shareholders deserve to run the American government.
John Oliver should be president. He may not be a US citizen, but he has never, ever, everrrr been incorrect. Not only does he speak nothing but the pure and honest truth, free from financial incentive, but he is also a comedian. Every joke out of that glorious man's mouth is a genuine knee-slapper. I chuckle, sincerely yet sensibly, every time he lands his signature punchline-catchphrase, "It's 2015!"

Believe me or not, but it now more than 5 minutes that I am reading and rereading your comment in order to guess if you are trying to act as conspiratroll or if you are actually believing that all the reported and documented facts exposing the hostile behaviour of the demonstrator that have entered into the US House of Representatives Chamber are at the minimum exaggerated, not to say completely false...
What is your definition of totalitarian control by the way ?
They are not much totalitarian countries nowadays...
... except Eritrea of course and, maybe, North Korea.
If shooting dead people trying to enter by force an Official Building is totalitarian... well... I am afraid that every Countries on this planet are "totalitarian".

If I sat on the CEO board of a dozen different media companies, from social media to childrens tv shows, I could make all the bad guy characters wear yellow vests. I could associate the wearing of a high visibility yellow vest with pure evil. All the axe murders in horror movies would wear a yellow vest. All of the cult leaders would wear yellow vests. All of the alien worlds would have a yellow vest wearing dictator at the helm.
Get what I'm saying?

I'm not sure how you can interpret the latest site journal as banning DISCUSSION of the Capitol riot or its motivations. Discussion is always acceptable, even if it's politically heated. Have you honestly seen anyone get banned or suspended for discussing what motivated or led up to the riots? What they don't want is people celebrating it and turning the site into a white supremacist cesspool, like certain other internet "communities" which I won't name (but we all know who they are).
"we all know who they are"
The corporate monopoly Fake News is making the same propaganda against Telegram. They own companies (social media websites) which are in competition with the "we all know who they are" sites.
The overwhelming majority of people visiting D.C. on the 6th were there for Trump's rally and went home afterwards. The verbiage of the new rule is vague enough that you can't go into detail without re-reading everything you write 100 times to make sure you don't accidentally "sympathize."

This is an exception that proves the rule. Right-wing violence is insignificant. Most terrorist violence comes from the political Left, and the deafening silence on it from the Democrats speaks volumes.
