The Von Drake lineage is old money among the corporate elite of New Deco. The purebred Saluki pedigree built a small trading empire among the major hyperlines on the promise of, at the very least, a consistent price tag and quality (After a few well placed embargo blockades, just to ensure those other inferior brands don't foul up the market!)

V.D. merchandise, ships, and even uniforms are instantly recognizable for their Art Nouveau flourishes and fonts, a particular favorite of the dynasties founder, and key to their folksy "Country General Store" marketing. Slogans insist that every client is treated their own kin, a somewhat ironic statement given the tumultuous politics of the bloodline that go on behind closed doors.

Recently, the heir apparent to the company, one Percival Von Drake, has been given charge over a large portion of the business's fleets. Many consider this a sign that another generational change in power is on the horizon, and while Percy acts as one deserving of an inheritance of wealth and prestige, any actual talent in accruing or maintaining such privileges has yet to be proven.
