Astar comes from the Other Side - the inside of a black hole. He is weird and obeys his own laws of physics.

He is one of the few remaining specimen of his race, if any other even exist. He exists as long as his black hole exists, and shares its lifespan and qualities. He also has no body under his neck - all of it is covered with a singularity that he shapes into a form of a body shape, the event horizon looking like a cloak and/or tentacles, or limbs.

When stuck on the Other Side he suffered several mental degradations due to complete loneliness in his realm - due to time being space and space being time, he’s spent and undefined amount of hours wondering how to get out. He and his powers were split - he has imagined his own friends in his realm, his own enemies, his own world, every time stripping away a part of himself and leaving it as another being. It went on and on until Ann brought him back from the Other Side - he and some parts of him (some more hostile than others) came back and have to learn how to exist again.
