You know, I christian myself, But I always though ironic or hypocritical of how others (not all) seem to claim to be the good followers when their actions say otherwise. Just because someone is different doesn't mean they should be hated or scorned. And it isn't right to use The Big Book to justify hating someone or a group.
indeed, it's this very sort of behavour I critisize, me coming from a christian household and seeing things on news and such, I find it also hard to believe that christians, when asked say why they are voluteering at a soup kitchen or something, they say "the lord/god told me to" or something to that effect and I find such logic to be unsatisfactory because its empty. Since it implies that if the lord/god/whatever buzzword is used for god, wasn't there, that they wouldn't be going there. It's just means to me that in general, they are not good people when your whole reasoning for "doing good" is based on something that as far as science as shown, hasn't been proven to exist and frankly one who has ruined my life with this crap for the most part. But yeah, besides this comic being how my main sonas parents met, it's also a critism of christians in general and that they can be just as hollow as the rest of us while using the lord and his word as a shield to justify bad behavour or even good behavour that if it was up to them, they'd never do otherwise.
