Another old art piece for an RPG that I'd like to put up at the AC art show - however it's a little too small for my precut mat boards. Hrm. $8.
Crogs. Start off fairly small and innocuous but they never stop growing and if they survive long enough they're huge. Despite their large size, they are surprisingly hard to spot as their mottled skin provides good camouflage in addition to their habit of remaining perfectly immobile. Ambush predators, once a prey item wanders in front it is captured with a lightning-quick spiny tongue.
Prey for crogs is anything that will fit in their mouth, including other crogs.
Their meat is said to taste pretty horrid but if you can get it down it's nutritious enough.
