Here is an old design of Gunther where it is also based off of one of William Blake’s work; specifically a poem called “The Lamb.”
Gunther used to be one of the main characters, who was just a regular lamb that had a propellor hat and vibrant clothing. His last name used to be Chopson too, but I thought it was too corny, so I changed it to Schmidt.
For the redesign, I got rid of the propeller hat, gave him a more rounded shape language with a softer color palette compared to the original, has a yellow polo with khakis, has rounder glasses, and he is now a Dutch Landrace and Sheep hybrid.
Gunther is the canonically autistic son of Filbert Schmidt. I characterize Gunther as a naive teenager who loves to help people and is very book smart, but doesn’t have very good street knowledge and is rather socially awkward due to his father being quite overprotective of him, to the point he puts a tracker on him, and Gunther still doesn’t know that the bracelet his father gave him is a tracker yet. Gunther is now the secondary character of the cast of characters in Kind Young Souls.
