Dandy unwrapped the package and peeked inside. In the brown cardboard box lay a card on top of a small pile of packing peanuts. Opening it, he read in a fancy font “Season’s Greetings, from Eggernoog Co.” Underneath it was a number, which he assumed was for customer service.
Dandy always loved hosting Holiday parties. It was always a highlight of the year, with his friends coming over to join for the festivities. He took it upon himself to prep most of the food, which was always a hassle. With his friends growing in both terms of size and appetite recently, he decided to do a little more research, than to just go bulk shopping. A friend of his was kind enough to forward him to a particular company, Eggernoog Co. which had been developing certain foods that seemed to sustain themselves. Their most well-known product was the Everlasting Eggnog, a bottle of Eggnog which supposedly had an endless supply of the delicious beverage for any party needs. As Dandy ruffled through the package, he hoped that it was worth the money he spent.
His hand emerged from the packing peanuts with its contents – a decently large sized plastic bottle with Holiday-style decorations lacing around it. The words “Everlasting Eggnog” were written on a card attached by string to the green cap on top. Through the semi-opaque plastic, he could see the beige liquid sloshing around inside.
Dandy pulled off the tag, realizing that it was another smaller card. He flipped it open, finding small text explaining the nutrition facts, methods of preparation, and a small warning about potential side-effects of the product. He skipped the last bit – food products always have those, right?
