I decided to make this collection of pictures on Word and take a picture of it to upload it here on FA. I'm that sick of Nintendo Ports and Disney Remakes. And they're not even the only ones -- Activision is cashing in on their old mascots too. All of these companies try to earn a quick buck by remaking their old properties, and in some cases, sell them back to us at FULL price! Like, Super Mario 3D All Stars, for example. Nintendo literally just put three of Mario's most popular 3D games in the package without any legacy content, or concept art, or Behind-The-Scenes stuff. And DON'T GET ME STARTED on Mario Kart Tour and Pokémon Sword & Shield! As for Disney, you probably already know what I'm gonna say. I am getting so tired of their ''''''Live-Action'''''' remakes. Yes, I've seen the remake of The Lion King back in 2019, but that was enough for me. I DON'T CARE about the Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, Aladdin or The Jungle Book remakes! And what's worse -- there are STILL remakes being made, like with The Little Mermaid (ugh) and Lady and the Tramp. Just... No.
Guys, did I make myself clear? We have to move on. Right now, we're repeating the same old films and games we've experienced either about 30 years ago or literally the previous generation, just with a new coat of paint.
Oh, yeah, and CAN THAT GODFORSAKEN CORONA VIRUS DIE ALREADY? So we can physically have fun together once again, going to cinemas, amusement parks, swimming pools and the likes?

As for the Disney (and movie) remakes in general agreed. As for video games I 100% disagree. Unlike films that you can get on DVD, Bluray or streaming; this is not the case with video games. Many of the games are 3 or 4 generations old with no access to them outside of their original machines. Also many of the games from the PS1/N64 just don't hold up. The Crash Trilogy, Spyro Trilogy and Resident Evil remakes are examples of great improvements. These remakes also created the demand to get Crash 4 made. Also the factor of companies releasing more obscure titles like Mega Man Zero series, the Mana collection, Turrican and Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend (the Game Boy collection) is giving attention to cult titles that people can now obtain. I would love a collation of the Game Gear and Sonic Adventure games on modern consoles. Also if the future of gaming is the likes of disasters like The Last of the Us Part 2 or Cyberpunk, I'll take the remakes. Also despite COVID there were fun games this year with Doom Enteral, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2, Streets of Rage 4, Immortals Fenyx Rising and Ghost of Tsushima.
Wow. Very well explained there. I'm impressed. Though I still stand by my own opinion, I totally agree that some remakes are improvements. Though, companies have to either show it themselves in order too keep their business running, or seek help from other companies in order to do so. The thing is -- All these negatives, at least for me, pile up. First we had the Disney cash grabs, then the Nintendo line of ports and now we've gotta cope with Covid as well. But again, I see your point, and I'm usually not that picky. But let's hope things will get better in 2021.
