Atariboy as an early Holiday Gift to me.
When we upgraded our TV cable YEARS ago, I stumbled upon this HBO Channel cartoon about the Never Ending Story. Here they have G'Mork still be in league with the Nothing, but have him more like a werewolf. He also "tempted" other with being one with the Nothing to be "free" from all their pain and sorrow... as well as mention "feeding" his hunger for strong spirits...
He only appeared in 2 episodes, one of which was just him in his floating black hole from the arms up. He only appeared full body in one episode involving Spook City (something that was close to the original Fantasia book had he). He had a BIG and WIDE upper body type... but REALLY tiny legs and NO tail... it was a little silly to see. So I had Atari and his great talent and skill to make an "official" unofficial to touch up on his design.
Side note: In the show, Gmork's outline is red lines. At first I thought it was for him to stand out from a black "nothing" but it actually sticks with him even when he is out of the nothing, which I feel gives him a more demonic flare to him compared to everyone else.

It’s so sad that he was basically turned into a villain in the movie and the cartoon.
In the book he is more like of an anti-villlain; he is definitely a bad characther but more like one that is trapped in his role, without possibilities of chamging even if perhaps a part of him would wish for that
